For this week’s T-Mobile Galaxy S2 ROM of the Week, check out latest AOKP ROM with Android 4.4.4 along with latest Uber kernel with up to 2Ghz overclocking support. (Updated 9/15/2014)
Although this isn’t official AOKP (as there’s no more official builds for T-Mobile S2), it’s a solid performer and you can expect to get all of latest Android 4.4.4 AOKP features along with full ROM Control. Add in the latest Uber kernel (and overclock to 1.89Ghz, my recommendations setting, use TricksterMOD App on Play Store) and you have a fast-performing custom ROM with the latest and greatest Android 4.4.4 custom ROM tweaks/features.
Of course, many of you probably have tried previous versions of AOKP ROM and I know many of you love it. This isn’t any different but better than ever with the latest Android 4.4.4. Since Android 4.4.4 has been out for quite awhile now, you can expect nice stability and everything working out of the box.
If you are looking for such a combo with great stability, speed, and customization, definitely give this guy a go this week(end) and do let me know what you think!

Download Android 4.4.4 Micro Gapps (DO NOT USE STOCK REGULAR GAPPS!!!)
IF YOU HAVE CWM RECOVERY OLDER THAN VERSION 6.0.4.3, UPGRADE your CWM Recovery to latest version by downloading the zip and installing with your CWM recovery OTHERWISE ROM WILL NOT INSTALL!
Download and install CWM Recovery 6.0.4.3 for KitKat custom ROMs (ONLY FOR SGH-T989!!!)
To install, reboot into recovery, make backup ROM, wipe data/factory reset, install ROM, install kernel, install Gapps, and reboot. (If for some reason you end up in a bootloop, reboot into recovery, go to Mounts & Storage for CWM, format/wipe /system, then re-install ROM.)

A: You forgot to install Gapps, reboot into recovery and install it! (See above for download.)
Q: The ROM is not booting!
A: Try formatting /system and re-install ROM, sometimes the system partition gets corrupt and you may have to try 2 or 3 times before the ROM boots.
Q: My screen is fuzzy!
A: Go to Settings->Developer options and check “Disable HW overlays” is OFF.
